Not So Hungry For The Hunger Games

My husband and I watched The Hunger Games about 2 weeks ago. Honestly I wasn't impressed with the story line, couldn't get over teenagers killing each other as a form of entertainment and that the main character was so boring. Remember this is MY opinion. Don't like it? Stop reading & come back later when I have a new post ... So anyway, I posted my feelings on Facebook. Everyone basically told me that I missed the point if all I took out of it was teens killing each other. Why am the only one who can't get passed that part? This Suzanne woman wrote a book about teens killing each other in an event celebrated like a holiday!!! How F'd up is that? I don't care what the real point of the story is supposed to be. How mental do you have to be to write about teens killing other teens? Then create a "Capitol" where it's an a form of entertainment. Then everyone reads this book like it's the next Harry Potter. Because I decided to "keep an open mind" I agreed to read the book. Which my sister brought over a few days later. I finished the 1st part of the book but I really don't wanna finish it. She obviously wrote this in a way that could easily be adapted to a movie. Like every page is in the movie. Yeah there's some back story that isn't in the movie, but for the most part, I feel like I'm watching the movie again. I can't get myself to pick up the book to finish it. I'd rather scrub my floor, on my hands and knees, than finish it. Pretty sad, huh? Maybe when i get back into a reading mood I'll finish it ... that's a big maybe tho.
Okay, rant over.

Autumn Can't Come Fast Enough

Okay, so if you follow me on Pinterest you are more than aware of my undying love for Autumn. I've gone Pin-Crazy lately with all the stuff I could make this season. That's how much I love Autumn!!! And what's not love?  The cooler weather, wearing long sleeve shirts, boots, Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks, Cold mornings on the balcony with a steaming cup of coffee, Lighting a fire in the fireplace every night, Cuddling with a soft blanket on the couch, the leaves changing color ... well not here in AZ ... leaves just turn brown and fall off the trees ... not very pretty. But then there are the amazing scented candles ... Pumpkin spice, pumpkin pie, apple cider. I love it all. It didn't help that when I was at Target over the weekend they already had their Autumn displays up. There are some Yankee candles that I really would love to have this season, but at $20 a piece I might just have to daydream for a while. . . I can't wait till that first cold morning when I get to made my grandmother's Apple Pie Oatmeal. It is so good! I'll share the recipe that morning, so all of you can enjoy it too. (It's too good not to share) Hmmm ... what else am I looking forward too? Well there's the decorating. Unfortunately I don't have that many Autumn decorations. (The sucky thing about being broke all the time) Think I might have to go play at consignment store or something. Oh My Goodness, I am so excited! Can you tell? Hee Hee Oh! And dressing the babies in uber cute fall clothing! Okay, seriously Fall needs to get here, like now. Think I might have to go bake a Pumpkin Pie to tie me over.

Have a great night everyone!

Aug 19 2012 ~ Sea Life Arizona

We Had such a great time at AZ Mills. Lunch at Paradise Bakery & Cafe. Altho the babies were not interested in the sandwich, the yogurt, or even the cookies. Troy had to go get them french fries, which they devoured. I was so upset, but at least they ate something.

Then it was off to see the aquarium.  At first Tempest and Cole were chill in their strollers and just looked around. Then once we  got to the bigger tanks Tempest started getting scared. Especially when the sting rays came close to the glass. Once we got tempest out of her stroller, Cole wanted to get out of his as well. Needless to say it wasn't very fun after that. Trying to carry Tempest, maneuver the stroller and the diaper bag began to be more trouble than it was worth. We rushed through the rest of the aquarium, me taking as many pictures as possible along the way.
Here's some photos I took. Some of them are sucky quality but I was using my phone.

Had to get inked to get in.

Listening to the boring audio track of what not to do & safety procedures

The only light in the room before going into the aquarium.

I got to touch a live starfish! (Yes, I am that pale)

These fish were in a circular room, Where the wall was a huge tank. It was pretty cool. Tiny tho.
Cole really liked the Sting Rays

I totally had Little Mermaid running through my head when I saw this little dude

 Sea Horses.

Jelly Fish. Not a bad pic. my phones camera is pretty good.

This Ray came up to the glass and just chilled there while I took its picture
 Nemo!
 Dori!
Bubbles!

I tried so many times to get a pic of the sea turtles but they kept swimming out of view. Guess they're camera shy.

We didn't get to buy any thing from the gift shop. Mostly because there were so many people in there & we really couldn't afford to get anything anyway. Next time I think we need to put the little ones in carriers, And condense the diaper bag. I'll really have to plan it out too ...
The sucky part was that it was so hot in there. I seriously thought it would be cold ... or at  least cool. I mean there's water everywhere. And they have to keep the water cool ...I don't know. I'm hoping  that the next time we go, it will be a much better experience for all of us.
